The Royal Maharaja welcome at Rambagh Palace , Jaipur
In India, guests are considered very highly and are always accorded a graceful welcome. Customary to this belief, on can experience Indian culture right at the airport, where guests are welcomed with a customised banner and fresh flower garlands. Furthermore, at the hotel guests are greeted with flowers and ‘aarti’ ceremony is performed and the forehead is anointed with the red ‘tikka’ - which is a traditional welcome sign.

However, a welcome with a royal procession is a treatment reminiscent with the erstwhile ‘Maharajas’, gives you a princely feeling. This imperial welcome is complete with a stunning tableau of decorated camels and caparisoned elephants at the lawns of your hotel. The entire driveway is lined with decorated elephants, horses and camels. A band of musicians and horsemen precede the procession and hostesses in Rajasthani costumes welcome you with traditional garlanding, ‘aarti’ & ‘tikka’ ceremony whilst the music of the ‘Shehnai’ plays in the background. Rose petals & ‘attars’ (perfumes) are also showered upon the guests. Furthermore, an alcohol based welcome drink is offered to the group in this musical ambience.
