2. Welcome with Grand Royal Procession An astounding marvel, this is a showcase event. Aimed at creating the ‘WOW’ feeling, this is a gala evening for the very best. Herein, the city palace is lit up magnificently, with royal guards taking position at the palace walls as in yesteryears. For your welcome there are folk dancers and musicians who entertain and escort you to the Palace entrance where a stunning tableau of caparisoned elephants welcomes you. Hostesses in Rajasthani costumes welcome you with the traditional garlanding and showering of rose petals & ‘attars’ (perfumes) in the central courtyard with a glass of Champagne. Thereafter, witness the spectacle of spectacles, the traditional processions comprising caparisoned elephants, camels, horses, silver palanquins, folk performers and dances in this stunning and mesmerising show of the bygone era. Thereafter, we proceed to a private part of the palace for an exotic cocktail and appetizers at the royal pavilion itself, which overlooks the sprawling ‘Jai Niwas Garden’ and offers a panoramic view of the old city of Jaipur and the mountain top forts of ‘Jaigarh’ and ‘Nahargarh’ along with a brief show of fireworks. This is followed by a sumptuous sit down meal in the company of your hosts, the royal family of Jaipur (subject to availability), with a choice of traditional 'Thali' setting or a continental four-course meal. Furthermore, there would also be light live instrumental music and traditional Rajasthani dances.
