Reminiscent to royalty cycle polo is an innovative form of horse polo. From the princely connections to the glamour of the Army regiments the game of Cycle Polo became a Common Man’s Game. ‘Bike Polo’, as a game is similar to traditional Polo, except that bicycles are used instead of horses. It is a variation of the equestrian game with a bicycle being substituted for the polo pony. The Rajput Princes and ‘Maharajas’ who in the off-season for Horse Polo took to the game of Cycle Polo to keep themselves fit. The game of cycle polo in India found its roots in early 1900’s. Bike Polo is as much challenging and fun as Horse Polo.
